CEO / President
Linda was born and raised in a tiny town in northeast Ohio. She has made Cuyahoga Falls home since 1992. She earned a degree in Geology from the University of Akron. Floral design had been a hobby until 1995 when she became a full-time designer for a florist in Portage county, where she met Sarah. In 1999 the opportunity to buy Dietz Falls Florist was presented to Linda who jumped at the chance to control her own destiny. Since then Linda has strived to make Dietz Falls Florist the shop that is known for long lasting flowers, value, quality and its friendly staff. She has also been a board member of Teleflora’s Ohio Buckeye unit for 5 years and served as its President for 2 years. This organization of volunteers brings educational programs for florists throughout the state of Ohio. Linda believes in constantly striving to learn and incorporate new design techniques and new flower varieties.
Christopher grew up in Cuyahoga Falls. He had lived in Michigan and California before returning home. He earned a degree in Fine Arts from Kent State University and studied floral design at the Robin Art School of Design. You may have seen his work in the display windows of the old O’Neil’s department store in downtown Akron if you lived here in the early 80′s. He has been in the floral industry for more than 20 years working for large event companies and small independent shops like Dietz.
Sarah is a self-described “military bratâ€. She spent her childhood in California before her family moved to Portage county. Sarah started her floral career as a delivery driver at the tender age of 16. She has worked for Dietz since Linda bought the shop in 1999. She has a degree in History from The University of Akron. Sarah has been our primary wedding consultant for the last 10 years however she did relinquish the reins to Christopher for her own wedding in 2009. She spends most of her time with her husband and 2 little boys but still finds time to keep Linda organized…well as organized as Linda can be.
